Grupo Compay Segundo

THE COMPAY SEGUNDO GROUP KEEPS THE MUSICAL LEGACY OF COMPAY SEGUNDO ALIVE.

Compay Segundo is one of the most iconic figures in Cuban Son and one of the key artists responsible for bringing traditional Cuban music to stages around the world. Following his death in 2003, his fellow musicians continued his legacy, preserving the essence of a sound deeply rooted in Cuba’s history and cultural identity.

Through their interpretations of great Cuban classics, the group celebrates Son, a musical genre born in eastern Cuba from the fusion of Spanish and African musical traditions. With its captivating rhythms, guitars, vocals and the distinctive sounds of traditional Cuban instruments, the performance transports audiences into the musical world that made Compay Segundo an internationally renowned figure.
