She has built a solid reputation for herself in the Brazilian music scene over the course of her career and has performed at a number of high-profile events, including fashion and luxury market events for global brands like Dolce and Gabbana, DVF, Jean Paul Gaultier, Renault, Perrier Jouet, and numerous events for Vogue and Glamour magazines.

A cover band that came together in the midst of the pandemic to share their passion for music with the general public. With completely different influences and backgrounds, they come together in a bundle of musicality and good humour for a night full of the great classics of soul, blues and funk.

António Pinto Basto and Maura Airez – Noite de Fado
October 18, 10pm

António Pinto Basto

He was born in the Alentejo and soon showed a great love of music, particularly traditional songs and Fado. From 1974 to 1988 he decided not to record, taking the opportunity to mature without ever stopping performing in public, both in Portugal and abroad. In 1988 she finally decided to record her first LP "Rosa Branca". It was an immediate and brilliant success, crowned by a tour of more than 120 concerts in 1989, at the end of which the double LP "Maria" was released. She is currently on tour celebrating her 50th anniversary.

Maura Airez

Despite her young age, she transmits a strength and magnetism that doesn't go unnoticed. At just 24, she has a firmness in her voice, which in its youthfulness brings us classics that she has been listening to for some time and has only now allowed herself to sing. Accumulating experience that only fado houses can provide, she has been present at the most important fado events, being considered the great revelation of the 2016 edition of the Caixa Alfama Festival, and in 2017 she took part in the Moroccan fado festival, along with Carminho, Luis Guerreiro and Rodrigo Costa Félix.

State of Mind
October 20, 11pm

State of Mind was created because there was demand for a band with a repertoire primarily geared toward the corporate market. The current line-up includes Joana Pedro on vocals, João Serra Fernandes on guitars and back vocals, José Dantas Dantas on bass, and Luis Varatojo on drums. All the musicians involved in this project are, or have been, connected with great national artists.

The Great Gig ‑ Tributo a Pink Floyd
October 21, 11pm

In the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Dark Side of the Moon, The Great Gig presents a true tribute to PINK FLOYD. The line-up includes all the songs from the album as well as some of the British progressive rockers' greatest hits such as “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2”, “Wish you were Here”, “Comfortably Numb” and “Shine on you Crazy Diamond”.

Jaqueline Carvalho
October 25, 10pm

With the return of the Fado Nights, fado singer Jaqueline Carvalho will perform for the first time on the Lounge D stage to promote the "MEU FADO" project.

Olive Tree
October 28, 11pm

This acoustic duo, comprising Rute Azeiteiro and João Serra Fernandes, celebrates the vibrant energy of Brazilian popular music on stage. They also explore Anglo-Saxon themes in their performances. You can hear the influences of Elis Regina, Maria Gadú, Cyndi Lauper, and Amy Winehouse in the Olive Tree repertoire.
